[Since her duel with Juudai three months, Alex has been unconscious and hospitalized. The official story is that she assaulted multiple representatives of SAI and DA students en route to a planned attack on a group of extradimensional beings. She was stopped by a representative of SAI and has been in police custody since.

Those who asked Juudai, Yuma, Yuya or Galaxy-Eyes for info would learn the following:
- She was trying to go back to the Astral World to destroy Eliphas.
- She was using power she gained from a demon from the Warp.
- The demon appeared when Juudai beat her in a duel. It then took Alex's life energy and left.
- Galaxy-Eyes has attempted to transfer her life energy, but it hasn't worked. She hasn't woken back up, no matter what Galaxy-Eyes has tried and she's tried a lot over the past three months.

She's asleep in the hospital. By this point, most of the time, there's a woman in the room with her. If you visit Alexandra on any kind of regular basis, you'll recognize this as her mother, Nina, who's been in Japan for a pretty decent amount of time, trying to tend to her daughter but mostly unable to do anything but hope she'll wake up. Icarus and Galaxy-Eyes are also regular visitors.

Icarus is in his human form. Galaxy-Eyes not so much. The hospital has...kind of gotten used to the large dragon that hangs around one of the rooms at this point.]

*Once Labrys had known where Alexandra was taken, nothing could stop her from visiting every chance she really could-- even ignoring the potential awkwardness of the times she ran into Alex's mother, or Icarus.

At first, her expression was always intense. She was clearly upset about what had happened-- what happened to Alex. What she did, and what she nearly did. What that demon did to her, and the state she's in...

But as the days slipped by, she had managed to calm her expression more, settling instead on simply disappointment and worry, even as she now comes in to visit.

... At least she finally stopped wearing the armor there. Now that worried the hospital staff and any guards just as much as the dragon walking around did.*

[Susan was there the first two weeks.

The entire time.

Now she's only there to check on her in the morning and at night, and gone the entire rest of the time. She doesn't even talk to anyone anymore, not even Icarus or Galaxy-Eyes. Although she doesn't look very well, it eventually got to a consistent level of visible haggardness that doesn't get any worse.]

::Once Moeko heard about it. Well.

She's been bringing in flowers. Bouquets of flowers. And if she hasn't been bringing them, she's had a store deliver them. But it's been pretty methodical, the roses coming in every 4 to 7 days.

And they all have an unopened letter.

However, she's been offending the hospital staff for wearing the most hopelessly gaudy clothes possible.::

[At this point, Icarus and Galaxy-Eyes have left Susan to herself, knowing that if she doesn't want to talk, forcing her won't help.

Nina, not so much. One night, she places a hand on Susan's shoulder.]

How are you doing, Susan?

[Galaxy-Eyes is around on Labrys' latest visit. There's been no change in Alex's condition, but that's expected at this point.]

*she took one look at Alex to realize that, yes, before nodding in acknowledgment to Galaxy-Eyes.*

Hello. ... I can tell already that nothing has improved.

But... nothing has gotten worse either, correct? *she's saying that a little more to herself, to keep herself even.*

[All of the letters have been left unopened next to Alex's bed.

Normally, Icarus doesn't really talk much to any of Alex's visitors besides her mom. But for some reason, he speaks to Moeko today.]

Hey.

Thanks for the flowers.

No. She has remained... ...stable. [That's really the only word they can use to put a positive spin on it.]

I suppose that's at least something. I just... *she lets out a sigh*

What can be done at this point? Really?

::Pauses after putting today's bouquet.::

... Really? I figured it might get annoying after July passed. I mean, they've got to be cluttering the place.

::Stares at your mohawk though, like 'what kind of shit lord are you'.::

...I've tried every resuscitation and life energy transfer technique I'm aware of. None of them have worked.

I'm beginning to think the only option... [She trails off.]

... is to track down the demon that took her energy in the first place, right?

I just eat a couple when there gets to be too many.

I'm just saying I appreciate the thought and I think Alex's mom does too, knowing there's somebody who cares enough to think of her like this.

[Slow nod.]

I've tried to use my tools in the Armory to do that. But...the Warp is a vast and difficult to catalog place. Especially when you're looking for someone who knows how to avoid being found.

It's a realm whose focus is that of chaos. To catalog it, map it, or anything, is an impossibility. Even with the airship that Yuma Tsukumo has, specific coordinates need to be placed, and it's usually only because those places are anchored. To wander it otherwise is akin to suicide, unless you are a part of that realm.

*... she rubs her arm a bit* It... Doesn't help that my world... *she trails off herself* ... There's no real entry point now, that wouldn't be inherently dangerous to just enter.

... Don't plants usually make dragons sick. Or am I thinking of dogs and grass?

And. I. Don't know if I think of her as anything.

I just feel like I half caused all of this shit looking for revenge against her for my boyfriend. And it just kept going in a circle. Over and over.

And fuck.

Just. Fuck.

I dunno. I still fucking hate her and I don't expect anything nice from her when she wakes the fuck up. If she ever does.

It's possible, but the problem is finding, essentially, a safe landing. We can't proceed on trying to track down the demon themselves without even guaranteeing that we can proceed.

The safest landing that exists, is a place that I think neither of us want to go near. But... it may end up being the only reasonable choice.

If it is the only way to save Alexandra, then I will suppress whatever misgivings I have. Where is it?

*... she sighs again, obviously not thrilled* The Astral world is the only safe point in the Ettosyleit, now.

From there, we would at least have a guidepost. A place to return to, if we were to attempt to track down anything.

[ Onni had been on vacation for a several weeks. Hardly had said much before he had left. Just that he needed to 'recuperate'.

All things considered, it might not be hard to see why.

Since he's been back, and learning her condition hadn't improved, he's visited every day. During the evening, close to sundown. He always comes straight from the OOPARTS building, hair neat, suit and tie tidy.

It doesn't stay that way for long, He cycles through staring at Alex's comatose form, and hollow-eyed staring through the hospital room window. His hair slowly takes on its more natural, disheveled state as he runs his hands through it, and his dress shirt is full of wrinkles from the various ways he shifts the way he's sitting.

Perhaps strikingly most of all is just how silent he's been. He may have exchanged pleasantries with Icarus and maybe even introduced himself to Nina, but the entire time he's been in Alex's room, he's been unearthly quiet. Not even Galaxy-Eyes' goading, if there's been any, has managed to coax much out of him on previous visits.

Without that boisterous attitude, the longer Onni sits there, the more haunted he appears, his face gaunt and worry lines etching themselves onto his brow, until he leaves for the night, almost as silent as he arrived. ]

::Has been visiting when she has time. Leery of Galaxy-Eyes. Been polite to Nina and Icarus.

But she mostly just sits there when she comes. With this look of disappointment on her face. It's not malicious. But.

She expected better. And just keeps wondering where everything went wrong, rubbing her palm on the back of her other hand.::

What she did to you and that other guy was wrong. I don't think she'd argue that and I don't think she'd blame you if you don't forgive her for it.

I think she'd also say that she made her own choices and she doesn't want anybody else to feel responsible for them.

Hrmgh.

I do not think they would be very receptive to the notion of helping us find a way to awaken her...after what she was planning.

I imagine not. It would not surprise me if they became aware of what she was going to do at all.

As it is, we should be almost thankful that they didn't do a preemptive retaliation. If they were going to, they are more likely to have done so, as soon as she started holding that intent. But to be thankful towards them for not cutting off the issue in their usual manner is a stretch to do.

*she does think a moment, though*

... Perhaps, in the best case scenario, they could be reasoned with that the root was the particular demon. While I think Alexandra's feelings were genuine... That demon did aggravate the situation. And they might not object to me trying to do what is technically considered to be my original purpose.

But they would probably more appreciate if we had a solid lead on it, first.
